July 4th Discard Station Staffing

Join over 50 Zero Waste volunteers in keeping the Grand Old Fourth celebration a low-waste tradition. Please sign up for a two-hour shift to be a discard station ambassador on July 4th in downtown Winslow. You don’t need pre-training. You’ll get a grabber (and gloves if you want), guideline sheets ahead of time, the shift-taker before you will brief you, plus I’m a text or walk-by away on the day of. Additionally, the vendors have been contacted so that as much as possible is compostable.

Shifts are as follows:

Set-up and some staffing: 7-9am

Staffing:

9-11am

11-1pm

1-3pm (during the parade, so chances are you won’t see it, though a few stations are within viewing distance)

3-5pm

Clean-up: 5-6:30pm
